Faculty Members
All teaching staff at Little Footprints Preschool are loving, responsive and highly trained bilingual teachers with backgrounds in education and early childhood development. All staff and faculty receive ongoing training and development, including four faculty training days per year. All teaching staff members are certified in CPR, Preventive Health and Safety and Pediatric First Aid. All have undergone background clearance checks.
Administrators
Anna Tong received her BA from the University of California, Berkeley double majoring in Psychology and Social Welfare and a Master degree in Education concentrated in Early Childhood Education from San Francisco State University. She has been involved in the field for over ten years. Her experiences include worked in a lab school, She is also co-director of Little Footprints Childcare, a Mandarin immersion day care in Mission Terrace. Ms. Anna Tong also conducts quality assessments and coaching services to both child care centers and family child care in the Bay Area.
Helen Lao is a creative and patient teacher with six years of Mandarin immersion teaching experience in the San Francisco public schools. She loves to incorporate drama, children's literature, songs and games in teaching. Helen graduated from UC Davis with a double major in Communication and Sociology. In the summer of 2007, she received trainings designed for Mandarin teachers at Beijing Normal University. Prior to this, during her high school years, she worked at Wu Yee Child Care Center as a teacher assistant. One of Helen's dreams is becoming a writer of children's literature. She also enjoys hiking, camping, cooking and playing badminton.
